Thread Lifts
Looking for a quick, safe, and easy way to turn back the hands of time? Have you heard about Contour Thread Lifts, as seen on the NBC Today show? This revolutionary, FDA approved procedure offers a safer, quicker, easier, and less costly method to lift the eyebrows, cheeks, jowls and neck, with no visible scars and much less recovery time than conventional surgical face lifting methods. No general anesthesia is required. Patients are awake during the procedure, but are given local anesthesia so that they experience minimal if any discomfort. This is an outpatient procedure that usually takes only one to two hours. Unlike conventional surgical face lifting procedures, the thread lifting procedure does not leave large scars around the ears and hairline.
Dr. McCauliffe was one of the very first physicians to learn this technique from the inventor of Contour Threads, Dr. Gregory Ruff. Dr. McCauliffe is currently the only physician in Vermont who is authorized to treat patients with Contour Threads.
The following are before and after photographs of some of the patients treated by Dr. McCauliffe at the Rutland Skin Center.
Lifting the cheeks is a very popular request. This procedure involves placing three to four threads in each cheek to lift the mid portion of the face. This often also leads to some improvement in the jowls and neck. The jowls and neck can also be specifically treated for an even more dramatic effect.
Lifting the eyebrows can easily be done with two threads per eyebrow. Note the elevation of the eyebrows and the upper eyelid skin fold in the following photos.
This next patient had her cheeks lifted with 4 threads per cheek. Note the improvement in the cheek creases and the elevation of the jowls, and some improvement of the neck with this simple procedure. More dramatic improvement could be obtained in the neck with additional threads applied at that location.
